چکیده

Extra charges in semiconductor nanocrystals are of paramount importance for their electrically driven optoelectronic and photovoltaic applications. Optical excitations such charged lead to rapid recombination via an Auger process, which can deteriorate the performance corresponding devices. While numerous articles report trion processes negatively nanocrystals, optical studies well-controlled positive charging detailed trions remain rare. In this work, we used electrochemistry achieve CdSe so-called quantum dots (QDs), a controlled way. Femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy was applied situ investigation charge carrier dynamics after excitation electrochemically QD assembly on TiO2. We observe that without bias (i.e., neutral QDs), sub-picosecond hot cooling is followed by multiple phases electron injection transfer Positive first leads activation hole traps close valence band maximum, opens channel excitation. A further increase interrupts TiO2, if positively charged, it relaxation few hundred picosecond timescale. This study represents step toward understanding effect under conditions closely mimic potential

Ultrafast dynamics of carrier-induced absorption changes in highly-excited CdSe nanocrystals

We use femtosecond time-resolved transmission spectroscopy to study the density and time dependence of transient absorption changes of CdSe nanocrystals. Our data show pronounced absorption saturation up to complete bleaching of the lowest optical transition. At high carrier density the nonlinear spectra show several peaks that can be related to the two lowest quantized electron states. Thetime...

Surface transformation and photoinduced recovery in CdSe nanocrystals.

CdSe nanocrystals in solution and films can enter a metastable state in which the highly luminescent nanocrystals become dark. This change, which we attribute to a surface transformation, can be caused by heating or by changing the environment of the nanocrystals at room temperature. The metastable transformation is reversed upon illumination of above-band-gap light, at which point the nanocrys...

Ultrafast carrier dynamics in undoped microcrystalline silicon

We have studied ultrafast dynamics of photoexcited carriers in mc-Si:H by pump and probe laser spectroscopy. We have found that the dynamics of photoexcited carriers in mc-Si:H depend on the crystallinity of the material: in the samples with low crystalline fraction, the dynamics have a fast decay and resemble those in a-Si:H, while in the samples with high crystallinity the dynamics are slower...

Ultrafast carrier dynamics in InN epilayers

Ultrafast differential transmission measurements on a series of InN epilayers, grown by molecular beam epitaxy, have been employed to determine the carrier lifetimes and to probe the carrier recombination dynamics at room temperature. Differential transmission spectra reveal a peak energy of B0.7 eV on these samples, supporting the existence of the narrow band gap of InN. In addition, we observ...

Human Erythrocyte Superoxide Dismutase Encapsulated in Positively Charged Liposomes

Superoxide dismutase (SOD) is an important antioxidant that protects many types of cells from the free radical damage. One of the possible ways for the use of SOD is its incorporation in liposomes. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of cationic phospholipids on the entrapment of human erythrocyte superoxide dismutase (Cu/Zn SOD) in liposomes. Also, in the present study, w...
